Board 4 Change Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 Non-profit organization dedicated to teaching gun safety. It is an advocate and supporter of common-sense gun safety measures. Board 4 Change Inc. teaches parents the proper ways to secure and store guns in their homes, teaches parents and children how to foster a climate of non-violent and conflict resolution in their homes, schools and their community. The Board 4 Change Inc. supports innovative efforts to promote positive youth development.
For more than a decade Board 4 Change Inc., founder Mr. Luther Brown has been a strong advocate for gun safety and community based violence prevention in Louisville as well as serving as a mentor for young African American Males.
From its beginning The Board 4 Change Inc. has worked to develop programs to educate, teach strategies that would help children, especially African American Males, teens, youth, families, communities and schools to gain a sense of confidence through participation in positive Social Interactions with a range of public and private partners and develop new relationships between their families, schools and communities.
The Board 4 Change Inc. purpose is to be a positive resource that is informative and educational for children, families and anyone concerned with gun safety.
The Board 4 Change Inc. conducts workshops, engages crime prevention speakers and helps families to create individualized family protection plans so children and youth can stay safe in their schools, communities and physical environments.
Children will be taught how to make a continuum culture change and create a new beginning in their environments.
Children realize the important of their roles in becoming citizens and the important of their continuum voices and roles influences the success of their physical environments, communities and the city in which they reside.
